Once more: brussels sprouts. I prefer this dish very much in the cold season of the year.
Instead of the shallot I add leek sometimes. Turkey steaks are a good option to the chicken breasts, too.
Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Red Onions
Brussels sprouts… not everybody’s favorite produce. But maybe you give this recipe a try. It is an absolutely easy recipe. It goes with everything from yogurt to meat. Or just without.
Nutty Brussels Sprouts
Brussels sprouts… it is a vegetable that – I would say – is not the most popular one. Even I was not such a huge fan of it. Then I had second thoughts because of some interesting recipes I found. So I gave the Brussels sprouts a second chance. Good decision. The following recipe is not time-consuming and convinced me by the use of mustard, too.
Black Bean Patties
As I prefer carbs from legumes instead from grains I always search for different ways of preparation.
I can have these patties for breakfast already, preferably with some plain yogurt. Anyway these patties work well with a lot of foods.
Roasted Savoy Cabbage and Leek
A surprising combination which I prefer to serve with fish. Who does not like the taste of cardamom just skips it. You will not miss it because this mixture is tasty without, too.
Chicken Salad with fresh Cherries and Feta Dressing
Tasty and light. Just as a summer salad should be. It is a delicious combination of sweet cherries, crunchy nuts, fresh salad and a cheese dressing. Enjoy!
Sweet Potato Sticks
Unfortunately they will not be that crisp if prepared in the oven. Anyway… they are yummy. I really, really like these!
Tomato Soup
Extremely yummy. This is the reason to cook this soup as often I can. I like it pure or with chickpeas or with wild rice, and with noodles it is just delicious.
White Chili
Who would have thought that… even chili is part of my breakfast. I do not refuse it at lunch either. I really like lupini beans for this dish because they do not soften.
Roasted Salmon and Leek
Simplicity and in no-time cooked, that is what I like here. Furthermore roasting in the oven means only a little effort with cleaning afterwards.
White-Bean-Soup with Celery Stalks and Carrots
I cannot help myself. I like soups at all – especially at breakfast. Leftovers will be consumed at lunch, too.
Yellow Lentil-Salad with Goat Feta
I like to choose my ingredients from every color possible. It is not only healthy, it lets shine every plate, too.
Roasted White Cabbage with Almonds, Capers and Thyme
Since it is clear to me that cabbage is something to roast in the oven… I would love to roast it almost everyday. This mixture with almonds, capers and thyme I like most. Who does not like the capers just leaves them out. Only cabbage without any other ingredients is fine, too.
Oven-Roasted Cauliflower with Chickpeas and Marjoram
Here we go again… making use of leftovers… What to do with this cauliflower and the remainder chickpeas? Roast it…
Salmon Patties with Ginger and Chives
I often cook fish patties because I really, really like them. Following you see a recipe with ginger, chives, mustard and sesame seeds. Oven-roasted vegetables go well with. Roasted cabbage is my favorite.
(Fish patties are a great option for a burger, too. Just “press” them with some lettuce in a burger bun.)
