I like it for breakfast. If you like to snack during the day this is a healthy one. Just slice an apple and spread a little peanut butter on each slice.
Enjoying delicious food. Best without regrets and easy to cook. That is what I am looking for every single day.
If you eat the LOGI way or Paleo or you just prefer a moderate intake of carbohydrates and/or healthier choices of carbs, here you will certainly find something suitable, too. (Who will not give up on potatoes, noodles, etc. simply add those.)
I certainly will not forget to fill "Baking" as well as "Treat and Nibble" with recipes!
As I avoid carbs from e.g. legumes and rice at dinner and also grains in the morning, maybe the category "Breakfast" will offer you surprising options.
Note:
Usually my recipes are made for two. (Leftovers will be eaten later.) I use almost exclusively top and bottom heat for the preparation in the oven.
Tomato Soup
Extremely yummy. This is the reason to cook this soup as often I can. I like it pure or with chickpeas or with wild rice, and with noodles it is just delicious.
Veal with Tuna-Caper-Anchovy-Sauce
As I have all ingredients except the meat always at home this dinner is quickly prepared. And for me it is just delicious.
White Chili
Who would have thought that… even chili is part of my breakfast. I do not refuse it at lunch either. I really like lupini beans for this dish because they do not soften.
Coconut-Chocolate Patties
A quickly prepared treat for the weekend? Here we go. No baking required. Great!
Lemon-Poppy Seed Cookies
Yummy cookies! I would say that these are for adults. Kids maybe will not like the taste that much. I prepare small cookies from the dough. So I can enjoy them a while longer.
Roasted Salmon and Leek
Simplicity and in no-time cooked, that is what I like here. Furthermore roasting in the oven means only a little effort with cleaning afterwards.
White-Bean-Soup with Celery Stalks and Carrots
I cannot help myself. I like soups at all – especially at breakfast. Leftovers will be consumed at lunch, too.
Yellow Lentil-Salad with Goat Feta
I like to choose my ingredients from every color possible. It is not only healthy, it lets shine every plate, too.
Roasted White Cabbage with Almonds, Capers and Thyme
Since it is clear to me that cabbage is something to roast in the oven… I would love to roast it almost everyday. This mixture with almonds, capers and thyme I like most. Who does not like the capers just leaves them out. Only cabbage without any other ingredients is fine, too.
Poppy Seeds Biscuits
Only 30 minutes until you will have steaming biscuits on your plate. Just preheat the oven on a Sunday morning and it will smell marvelous in the kitchen soon! This biscuits are good to eat next day, too. You should give them a try. Absolutely.
Vegetable Stock
I was quite surprised by how easy it is to prep a homemade vegetable stock. I myself vary the ingredients as it comes and depending on what I find in the fridge. The quantity is flexible, too. This recipe is for a small portion of stock.
Cheese Cracker
Here I talk about very delicious cracker. I like to bake them from time to time just to have something nice to nibble at the weekend. Top them with the spices you like. These are really tasty!
Oven-Roasted Cauliflower with Chickpeas and Marjoram
Here we go again… making use of leftovers… What to do with this cauliflower and the remainder chickpeas? Roast it…
Salmon Patties with Ginger and Chives
I often cook fish patties because I really, really like them. Following you see a recipe with ginger, chives, mustard and sesame seeds. Oven-roasted vegetables go well with. Roasted cabbage is my favorite.
(Fish patties are a great option for a burger, too. Just “press” them with some lettuce in a burger bun.)
